CSM Tech wins ₹1.65 crore deal to track cargo movement on Mozambique trade route – CNBC TV18

CSM Tech, a wholly owned subsidiary of CSM Technologies Ltd, has secured a $174,000 (approximately ₹1.65 crore) contract from TradeMark Africa to develop a digital platform to monitor cargo movement and transport performance along Mozambique’s Beira Corridor.

The 18-month project involves developing the Mozambique Transport and Trade Observatory (TTO), a centralised platform that will give corridor authorities and other stakeholders near real-time information on cargo movement, delays, bottlenecks and other trade indicators.

\n\n

The Beira Corridor connects Mozambique’s Port of Beira with Zimbabwe and extends trade links to Malawi, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is an important route for landlocked economies that depend on efficient transport links to regional and international markets.

\n\n

CSM Tech will build a secure, web-based platform with interactive dashboards, digital maps, automated alerts, reports and data analytics. It will integrate information from ports, roads, railways, customs and other trade and transport systems in Mozambique and neighbouring countries.

\n\n

The platform will also feature a centralised data warehouse and a four-stage data validation process to improve the accuracy and consistency of information. It will be hosted in Mozambican data centres to meet local data protection requirements and support data sovereignty.
