\n\nVirat Kohli is set to make his on-field return against New Zealand on November 4. Kohli, who is now only active in the ODI format, will participate in the five-match ODI series. The series opener will be played at Eden Park in Auckland. He has been away from professional cricket since the last ODI against West Indies, played on October 3. Kohli has kicked off his preparations for a return and he participated in a net session at the Brabourne Stadium.
\n\nKohli has often practised at this venue before a series and he is once again gearing up for his next assignment at the Brabourne Stadium. He will soon leave for NZ to participate in the all-important series. Kohli is part of the squad for all five ODIs.
\n\nShubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will share captaincy during the series. Gill will lead India in the first three ODIs and will be assisted by Iyer. Gill and other Test players will leave the squad after the third game to gear up for the Test series.
