Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka etched his name in the history books as he was the star of the show as the Kusal Mendis-led side thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday (October 27) to seal their place in the tri-series final, which will see the Asian Teams play each other again on Saturday (October 31), as the result means England have been knocked out ahead of their final game in the league stage against Sri Lanka on Thursday (October 29).

Madushanka took five wickets while giving away just 34 runs in 8.3 overs, which was key in the hosts being bowled out for just 110 runs, which Sri Lanka chased in just 18.1 overs. The left-arm pacer took wickets of Fakhar Zaman, Saad Baig, Arafat Minhas, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf.

Madushanka registered the best bowling figures by a visiting pacer in Pakistan against Pakistan. The record was previously held by New Zealand's Chris Harris since 1996. In fact, the Sri Lankan star is only the fifth fast bowler to take a five-for against the Men in Green on Pakistani soil.
