\n\nThe Crossword Book Awards 2026 have unveiled their Popular Choice shortlist, marking the 20th edition of one of India's prominent literary awards. Featuring 25 books across five categories, the shortlist brings together established literary figures, bestselling authors and emerging voices whose works have attracted readers over the past year.
\n\nThe shortlisted titles include books by Arundhati Roy, Chetan Bhagat, Ruskin Bond, Sudha Murty, Amish, Twinkle Khanna, Vir Das and Ankur Warikoo, reflecting the diversity of India's contemporary publishing landscape. Public voting opened on 26 October and will continue until 23 November 2026, allowing readers to select their favourite books. The shortlisted titles were chosen based on sales across Crossword Bookstores, with eligible books published in India in English between March 2025 and February 2026.
