A GoFundMe campaign for Lindsay Clancy’s parents, Mike and Paula Musgrove, has raised more than $800,000 as their daughter’s murder trial enters its fourth week. The fundraiser, which was created last week, has a goal of $2 million. It was launched to help Clancy’s retired mother and photographer father cover the financial costs they have accumulated while remaining by their daughter’s side throughout the case.

According to the fundraiser, the Musgroves moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts to remain close to Clancy as her trial continues in Plymouth.

The GoFundMe says the couple has spent years covering travel, lodging and living expenses connected to attending court proceedings and supporting Clancy.

“They have spent years absorbing the travel, lodging, and living costs required to remain close to their daughter, drawing down savings they spent a lifetime building,” the fundraiser says.

The campaign states that the parents have continued to support their daughter because they love her and have not walked away from her.

The money raised is intended to help the couple rebuild their financial stability and cover accumulated travel, lodging, living and other family expenses arising from their continued support.

The fundraiser had surpassed $830,000 by Monday, with donors from around the world contributing to the campaign.

Clancy is accused of killing her three children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months old, on January 24, 2023. She is facing three counts of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors rested their case Monday after calling more than 70 witnesses. Clancy’s defense then began presenting witnesses, including her mother, Paula Musgrove.

Musgrove told jurors about a conversation in December 2022 when Clancy reportedly told her and her then-husband, Patrick Clancy, that she had thoughts about harming the children.

Clancy’s defense plans to argue that she was not criminally responsible because she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis, allegedly worsened by medications she had been prescribed. Her attorney also claims she heard voices telling her to carry out the killings.

Prosecutors, however, argue that Clancy carefully planned the killings and was in her right mind at the time.

Clancy survived a suicide attempt following the killings but was partially paralyzed in the fall and is now wheelchair bound.
