Delhi Shocker: 19-Year-Old Nursing Student Found Hanging In Hostel Room In Rajinder Nagar

A 19-year-old nursing student was found dead in her hostel in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, reportedly by suicide. She was a third-year B.Sc. student from Najafgarh and was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where authorities were notified.

A 19-year-old third-year B.Sc. Nursing student allegedly died by suicide after being found hanging in her hostel room in Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar. The deceased, a resident of Najafgarh, was reportedly brought to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where the incident was reported to the police.

A team from PS Rajinder Nagar reached the spot and initiated an inquiry. The Crime Team has also been called to the scene. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.

“Delhi | Information regarding the suicide of a 19-year-old nursing student was received at PS Rajinder Nagar from a private Hospital. The deceased was a resident of Najafgarh, Delhi, and a 3rd-year BSc Nursing student. As per preliminary enquiry, she allegedly died by hanging in her hostel room. The local staff of PS Rajinder Nagar immediately reached the spot for necessary action. The Crime Team has been called to the spot, and further enquiry into the circumstances of the incident is underway,” Delhi police said.

19-Year-Old DU Student Jumps to Death from Delhi Mall

A 19-year-old Delhi University (DU) student allegedly died by suicide as she jumped off a shopping mall adjacent to Rajouri Garden metro station on Saturday, police said. The body was found by a head constable of the Rajouri Garden police station who was on routine patrol duty, police said. Deputy commissioner of police (West) Hareshwar V Swami said that a handwritten “suicide note” was recovered from the woman’s possession.

“During enquiry, her family informed that she had been suffering from depression following her mother’s death in 2021. No evidence suggesting foul play was found during the initial probe,” said the DCP.

Police said proceedings under Section 194 (unnatural, accidental, or suspicious death) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been initiated, and legal proceedings are underway. Her college principal said she was the brightest student in her batch.

“The entire college, especially the teachers who taught her, are in a state of shock. She was a very articulate and promising student,” the principal said.
