Husband Dies After Matrimonial Dispute in Delhi
A 31-year-old software engineer, Vinay Gupta, died after allegedly being assaulted by his wife’s family following a matrimonial dispute at his residence in Nihal Vihar, Delhi.
According to police, a dispute broke out between Vinay and his wife this morning. The wife then called her family members, who allegedly reached the house and severely assaulted Vinay.
Vinay sustained serious injuries and later succumbed to them.
Police have identified and detained four alleged accused persons. A case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) is being registered.
Vinay, a resident of Laxmi Park, had been married for around three-and-a-half years. The couple has four-and-a-half-month-old twin children, a boy and a girl.
Vinay worked as a software engineer with Adobe in Noida, while his wife is a homemaker.
