A car caught fire while moving on Raisina Road in New Delhi, close to the Le Meridien hotel, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Car Bursts Into Flames on Raisina Road
New Delhi: A moving car caught fire on Raisina Road in Delhi, near the Le Meridien hotel, on Friday. Fire officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames. No injuries have been reported so far. The car owner said he was on his way to pick up his family when the vehicle suddenly started heating up. He said he didn’t notice it at first until another person on the road pointed it out to him.

“I was going to pick up my family. My car started getting hot all of a sudden. But I did not realise it. The other guy pointed it out to me. Then we got out of the car… At least we are safe. This tragedy could have happened to my friend too. Maybe I saved him today,” he said.
Fire officials are continuing the dousing operation. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Further details are awaited.
