\n\nThe Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has directed a factory linked to Wai Wai noodles maker CG Foods India to halt the manufacture of certain products after inspectors allegedly found broken noodles gathered from the factory floor being used in the preparation of bhujia, according to a Reuters report. The regulatory action comes as food safety authorities across India intensify inspections of restaurants, food outlets, warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
\n\nSeveral prominent food brands have faced scrutiny in recent weeks amid concerns over hygiene, expired products and compliance with food safety requirements.
\n\nThe facility at the centre of the latest action is operated by CG Foods India in Rajasthan. The company is part of CG Corp Global, headed by Nepali billionaire Binod Chaudhary, who is widely associated with the Wai Wai instant-noodle brand.
\n\nAccording to the food regulator, inspectors found that the factory was "re-processing floor-collected broken noodles into bhujia without heat treatment".
