A website that appeared to resemble the official Republican convention portal went viral after visitors found themselves redirected to the US Department of Justice’s Epstein Library.
\n\nThe site, gopdallas2026.com, is being promoted by the anti-Trump Lincoln Project and sends visitors to Epstein documents. Fact-checks confirmed that it is not the official GOP convention website. The actual convention site, gopconvention.com, continues to work normally.
\n\nThe unusual redirect quickly caught attention online, with users sharing jokes and speculation about the site. Reporter Jake Lahut described it as a troll or unofficial website.
\n\nDemocratic Rep. Ted Lieu also checked the site himself and confirmed that the redirect was happening. “I just tried the website and the below description, as of right now, is accurate. Sort of awesome,” Lieu wrote.
\n\nThe redirect comes just days before the first-ever Republican midterm event, scheduled for September 9-10 at the American Airlines Center.
\n\nThe convention is expected to feature keynotes from President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, with the GOP planning to highlight priorities including tax relief and border security. Ticket lotteries for the event are ongoing.
