Five AAP MLAs were marshalled out of the Delhi Assembly on Friday after opposition members staged a protest over an alleged Rs 650-crore health sector scam on the opening day of the monsoon session.
The legislators — Sanjeev Jha, Som Dutt, Vishesh Ravi, Kuldeep Kumar and Jarnail Singh — raised slogans demanding Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s resignation and displayed posters alleging irregularities in the health sector.
The protest disrupted proceedings, prompting the Speaker to adjourn the House till 2 pm.
The session witnessed sharp exchanges between the BJP and the AAP, with the BJP accusing the previous AAP government of irregularities across departments, while the AAP alleged corruption under the BJP-led administration.
