Lauren Boebert’s 21-year-old son, Tyler Boebert, is scheduled to appear in a Colorado court on August 19 after being arrested on five felony charges related to alleged child sexual exploitation.

The case concerns allegations stemming from an incident in January 2024, when Tyler Boebert was 18. According to court records cited by local media, the charges include sexual exploitation of a child involving alleged enticement, possession of child sexual abuse material with intent to distribute, sexual exploitation involving video, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Allegations Against Tyler Boebert

According to an arrest affidavit, investigators were alerted through a Safe2Tell report about intimate videos involving teenagers that had allegedly been posted on a newly created social media account.

Authorities identified multiple videos and images on the account. One alleged video involved Tyler Boebert and a girl who was under 18 at the time.

Investigators allege that Boebert recorded the encounter and distributed the video, which later appeared on the social media account. Prosecutors have accused him of causing or encouraging a minor to participate in sexually explicit conduct for the creation of exploitative material.

The allegations remain accusations, and Boebert is entitled to due process as the case moves through court.

Lauren Boebert Responds

Republican Representative Lauren Boebert addressed the allegations against her son after news of the charges emerged.

“I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time,” she said in a statement.

Lauren Boebert is seeking re-election to the US House from Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. The charges against her son come as she continues her political campaign.

Tyler Boebert’s next court appearance is expected to provide further details about the case and the proceedings against him.
