Magicbricks And RICS India Sign MoU To Advance Data-Driven Real Estate Research

Under the collaboration, Magicbricks will provide clean and structured real estate data and lead the preparation of reports, while RICS and its affiliate will review, validate and provide analytical inputs.

Magicbricks and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) India Pvt. Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, to collaborate on real estate research, market studies and indices, bringing together Magicbricks’ structured real estate data and RICS’ research and industry expertise. The non-commercial collaboration will focus on developing research-led insights and strengthening knowledge sharing across the real estate sector.

The partnership will cover co-authored research reports, white papers, market studies and real estate indices, supported by statistical and economic analysis. It also provides scope for additional research and knowledge-sharing initiatives by mutual agreement, including projects with RICS affiliates such as the RICS School of Built Environment.

Under the collaboration, Magicbricks will provide clean and structured real estate data and lead the preparation of reports, while RICS and its affiliate will review, validate and provide analytical inputs. Both organisations will jointly plan report releases, including potential engagement with academia, policymakers and industry stakeholders.

The MoU also includes provisions for data protection. All data provided by Magicbricks will remain its sole property, with shared data excluding sensitive personal information such as names, contact numbers, addresses and email IDs. Raw data will not be made public without Magicbricks’ prior written consent, and data handling will comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

For jointly developed outputs, including research reports, indices, white papers and market studies, intellectual property rights will be jointly owned by Magicbricks and RICS, while RICS will retain rights over its underlying methodologies and analytical frameworks. The MoU is valid for one year from the date of signature and may be extended by mutual consent.
