The National Board Of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) has dismissed all rumours of a paper leak and issued an alert for all students scheduled to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) this week.

In an official statement issued through NBEMS’ social media accounts such as ‘X’ and WHatsApp Channel, the Board clarified that all Telegram, Instagram and WhatsApp channels claiming to provide NEET PG question papers are fake.

The Board, responsible for conducting NEET PG, advised students to remain cautious of such ‘bogus claims’, and reminded students that such miscrenats have the intentions to mislead all students.

“Candidates are advised to stay alert and do not fall prey to fake social media handles, bogus claims and misleading advertisements claiming to provide “leaked” NEET-PG 2026 question papers. Such claims are false, fraudulent and intended to mislead candidates,” NBEMS tweeted in an official response.

NEET PG 2026 is scheduled to take place on August 30 (Sunday), with the admit cards scheduled to release on August 27, 2026 (Thursday). As the exam date is inching closer, several social media accounts on Instagram, Telegram and through WhatsApp Channels are claiming that the NEET PG 2026 has been leaked, and they can provide the question papers.

The last time NEET PG was cancelled was in 2024. The medical entrance exam was scheduled to be held on June 23, 2024, but the exam was cancelled just 12 hours before the exam was scheduled to begin, i.e. it was cancelled in late hours of June 22, 2024.

The reason given the exam cancellation in 2024 was that it was a precautionary step by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare following logistics and integrity check concerns tied to contemporaneous paper-leak controversies in other national exams.

Why is NEET PG Conducted?

NEET PG is a national entrance exam in India given by medical graduates to secure admission into postgraduate medical courses like Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and post-MBBS diploma programmes. . It is the mandatory single gateway for medical specialization in government and private colleges.
