He said the country needs to move from around five to six launches currently to 50 launches a year—roughly one launch every week.Goenka said achieving that scale will require multiple private companies to enter the launch business, with ISRO continuing to provide technical support and develop new technologies. The focus, he said, is on building a broader ecosystem rather than putting the responsibility solely on either ISRO or private industry.The expansion will also need stronger satellite manufacturing, space infrastructure, research and development, government demand and wider use of space technology.
