The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has selected CoRover.ai to build a unified agentic AI platform for government services, with DigiLocker set to be the first implementation.
\n\nThe contract was awarded by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) following a quality-and-cost based selection process. CoRover emerged as the top-ranked bidder with a final score of 100, ahead of Kyndryl Solutions, which scored 91.24, according to the government's evaluation document.
\n\nThe project is aimed at creating a common AI platform that can be used by government departments to develop and deploy AI assistants and bots for different services, rather than building separate systems for individual use cases.
\n\nDigiLocker will be used as the initial implementation of the platform. The first version is expected to enable users to interact with DigiLocker through an AI assistant for tasks involving documents and connected government systems.
\n\nThe DigiLocker implementation includes a four-month development phase, followed by 12 months of operations and maintenance support.
