Coforge CEO sees growth accelerating as AI creates new tech services opportunities
Noida-based IT services and digital solutions provider Coforge is aiming to accelerate growth over the next decade as artificial intelligence reshapes the technology services industry, with CEO and Executive Director Sudhir Singh saying the company sees significant new opportunities emerging from AI adoption.

He said Coforge expects its growth rate over the next nine to 10 years to be higher than what it has delivered over the previous decade.

Coforge has delivered close to 21% growth over the past 10 years, according to Singh. The company now wants to build on that track record rather than simply repeat it. “The intent will be to accelerate that growth and that margin expansion.”

Singh does not expect AI to completely eliminate traditional technology services such as application development, maintenance or business process outsourcing. “At this point in time, I don’t think there’s any service line that’s going to get decimated. But yes, each one of them is going to get completely recreated, recomposed on a go-forward basis.”

According to him, enterprise clients are increasingly looking beyond AI models and agents and towards building autonomous organisations. This will require technology services providers to connect AI models, agents, data and enterprise processes and make them work together within individual organisations.

This shift could create a larger opportunity for technology service providers, as companies look to operationalise AI rather than simply experiment with it.

Coforge sees several new areas of technology spending emerging from the AI transition. These include building enterprise-specific AI context, creating data pipelines, scaling AI models and developing sovereign AI capabilities for businesses.

Singh believes these opportunities could be larger than those addressed by the technology services industry over the past three decades.

The company has already taken steps to build capabilities in these areas. Coforge recently created Coforge Nuuron, which Singh described as an operating system designed to help organisations become more autonomous. It has also set up Momentuum blue as a separate subsidiary focused on helping businesses adopt AI across individual processes.

Coforge has set a target of reaching $5 billion in revenue by 2030. Singh said the company could need one or two acquisitions to reach the target, but stressed that organic growth would remain the main driver.

The company has relied heavily on organic expansion over the past nine to 10 years, while acquisitions have helped broaden its capabilities and market presence. Singh said Coforge will continue to look at inorganic opportunities, particularly where they can complement its growth strategy.
