\n\nRussian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has accused Germany’s current leadership of forgetting the outcome of WWII, claiming that Berlin is returning to what he described as the “Nazi ways” of its predecessors. His remarks were made in response to questions from Russian television channel RT during a visit to Russia’s Siberian Federal District and were reported by state news agency TASS.
\n\nMedvedev specifically targeted the current German federal chancellor and members of his staff, alleging that they were continuing what he called the “sad work” of their predecessors. He said the present German leadership had embarked on a path of “forgetting the results of World War II”, framing the accusation as part of a wider criticism of Berlin’s approach towards Russia.
