\n\nIndian pacer Prasidh Krishna will not play in the forthcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand, which begins on November 4, since he has not yet fully recovered from his hamstring injury, a BCCI source told PTI on Wednesday. In the first unofficial red-ball match between India A and New Zealand A in Lincoln, Auqib Nabi, a pacer from Jammu & Kashmir, made an impression and can be in line to replace Prasidh for the 50-over assignment. "Prasidh is recovering well, and he has his match simulation and fitness tests lined up at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru on November 1 and 2. In any case, the team management as well as the national selection committee believes that Prasidh should be fully ready for Tests, where he is required more than in ODIs," said a BCCI source.
\n\nAuqib Nabi was included in the squad for the fourth and fifth ODIs. However, it appears that he will now have the opportunity to play in the first three games as well. Prasidh injured his hamstring during the recently concluded home ODI series against the West Indies.
