\n\nThe Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Sunday (September 6) issued a statement on the building that collapsed in Satya Niketan, saying the property was reportedly constructed in the 1990s. According to the civic body, the collapsed building is P-14 in Satya Niketan and is part of a resettlement colony. The property covers an area of around 55 square yards.
\n\nThe building had a basement along with floors from the ground level up to the fourth floor, the MCD said.
\n\nThe civic body also said that there were no records available showing any booking or sealing action against the property. It added that no complaints had been received regarding any work carried out at the building.
\n\nThe building collapsed on Sunday, leaving five dead and several people feared trapped under the debris. Rescue teams, including the Delhi Fire Service, NDRF and police, were involved in the operation.
