The left-handed batter saw Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson open the innings in the WI series as well. India captain Shreyas Iyer talked about his chat with Sooryavanshi after the game and revealed his message to the youngster.

Sooryavanshi has spent much time on the bench. He sat on the bench after earning his maiden India call-up and didn't play against Ireland.
