Delhi's Mercury Nosedives As Rain Lashes Capital Again
\n\nNew Delhi: Delhi woke up to a cooler morning on Sunday, with the minimum temperature dipping to around 24 degrees Celsius a day after the national capital witnessed light to moderate rainfall throughout the day.
\n\nThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast another spell of rain in Delhi on Sunday, with generally cloudy skies expected to prevail across the city.
\n\n“Generally cloudy skies are expected on Sunday. A spell of very light to light rain at many places accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning towards morning is expected,” an IMD official said, adding that another spell of light to moderate rain is likely in the later hours of the day.
\n\nThe showers on Saturday brought a sharp drop in both maximum and minimum temperatures across the national capital.
\n\nThe city's base weather station at Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 24.8 degrees Celsius on Saturday, 0.8 degrees below normal and 3.4 degrees lower than the previous day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, 6.5 degrees below normal and 7.5 degrees lower than Friday.
