\n\nA fan sitting on the grass banks inside the scenic Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town went viral during the third day of play in the third Test on Thursday (October 29) between South Africa and Australia as he brought out a placard that was caught by the cameras. The spectator seemingly proposed to Ryan Rickelton's mother in a visual that quickly became the talk of the internet.
\n\n'Ryan Rickelton, is your mom single?' read the placard. 'Not sure he is putting his best foot forward,' the commentator joked.
\n\nAfter the broadcaster showed the fan, the cameras moved towards the Proteas wicket-keeper, who appeared to see the visual on the big screen inside the stadium. The player appeared bemused by the action of the individual but then joined in the fun and nodded a 'no.'
\n\nThe two teams arrived in Cape Town for the final Test of the series with the series 1-1, and the match is headed towards a cracking finish. The series decider has seen momentum shift between the two sides since the first day of play, after Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat.
