Google unveiled its next-generation Pixel smartphones on August 12, with the launch of Pixel 11 Pro on August 12. The phone comes with Google’s Tensor G6 chipset with upgraded camera hardware, Qi2.2 wireless charging and 120x Pro Zoom.

The price of Pixel 11 Pro starts at ₹1,19,999 for 6.3-inch variant, and the 6.8-inch Pixel 11 Pro XL begins at ₹1,34,999.

Google has already confirmed that pre-orders for the Pixel 11 series will begin on August 12. The company is also offering eligible Google Store subscribers an exclusive offer on selected Pixel Buds or Pixel Watch purchases with a new Pixel 11 series device.

Design largely unchanged

Official teasers and leaked marketing images suggest the Pixel 11 Pro will retain Google’s familiar design language, including the horizontal camera bar. The camera module is expected to feature a full-glass finish instead of the partially exposed metal design seen on previous models. The phone is also expected to be available in Olive, Obsidian, Canyon and Fog colour options, according to Mashable.

New ‘HiLight’ notification system

One of the biggest additions could be HiLight, previously referred to in leaks as ‘Pixel Glow.’

Leaked marketing material suggests the coloured LED built into the rear camera bar will light up when the phone is placed face down, notifying users about calls from favourite contacts or Gemini conversations without requiring them to turn on the display.

On Bluesky, Roland Quandt of WinFuture wrote, “Pixel Glow is officially called HiLight, I’d say.”

Google has not officially detailed the feature, but its presence has appeared in official teasers.

Google will continue with a 50MP primary camera, paired with 48MP ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, according to Android Headlines. The company is also expected to introduce 120x zoom. Marketing leaks suggest Google will continue to focus on AI-powered photography and Gemini-assisted camera features. There is some uncertainty over the front camera, with different leaks suggesting either a 13MP or 42MP selfie sensor.
