\n\nHarmanpreet Kaur created history during the blockbuster India-Pakistan clash in the 2026 Women's Asia Cup at the Dubai International Stadium on Saturday (September 5). The Indian captain led the team for the 150th T20I in the shortest format of the game as they went on to continue their dominance against their arch-rivals.
\n\nHarmanpreet, who first led India in the shortest format in 2012, has been the permanent skipper of the side for a decade since 2016 after replacing Mithali Raj in the top role. She led India to their only T20 World Cup final in history in 2020.
\n\nHarmanpreet has become the first male or female captain in the world to lead their country in 150 T20I matches. The 36-year-old extended her lead as the player to captain her side in the most matches in the shortest format on the landmark occasion.
\n\nMeanwhile, among female players, only Meg Lanning has led her side more times in a single format. The five-time World Cup-winning captain played 155 ODIs as captain of her country.
