\n\nRinku Singh has sent another reminder to the national selectors after being ignored for the New Zealand series by slamming his second consecutive century in the Ranji Trophy. Rinku, who has been out of Team India since the Zimbabwe series, is plying his trade for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. He kicked off the tournament with a century against Bihar. Courtesy of centuries from Rinku and Madhav Kaushik, UP put on a big total of 540 on the board. They bowled out Bihar for 141 and 132 across two innings to register an innings win.
\n\nRinku was the sole batter who breached the 50-run mark in UP's first innings against Goa. Courtesy of his unbeaten 118 and Kaushik's 45, UP scored 202 in 71 overs. Goa were 43/0 at the end of first day's play.
\n\nRinku has sent another reminder to the Pragyan Ojha-led selection committee with this century. He isn't in the scheme of things in Test cricket. Rinku has been part of the India A team in red-ball cricket in the past. The left-handed batter has a solid average of 59.52 for his 3869 first-class runs.
