Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 may have more to offer fans when it arrives on OTT platforms. The film's digital version is reportedly expected to include around 30 minutes of additional footage that was not shown in theatres.
\n\nThe extended version may feature deleted portions involving Mohanlal, Santhanam, Vijay Sethupathi and Hrithik Roshan, according to ToI. However, there is no official confirmation from the makers about the uncut version yet.
\n\nHelmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 was released in theatres on October 15. The film stars Rajinikanth along with Ramya Krishnan, Mirnaa, SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Hrithik Roshan, Mohanlal and Shivarajkumar. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, and Sun Pictures has produced the film.
\n\nWhy were some scenes missing from Jailer 2?
\n\nSeveral actors' screen time became a talking point after the film's release. Santhanam was seen in the video shared after the shooting wrapped up, but his scenes were reportedly not included in the final theatrical version.
\n\nSome scenes featuring Mohanlal were also reportedly removed. This disappointed many of his fans in Kerala. Vijay Sethupathi's portions were also said to have been reduced. The reported extended cut could bring some of these scenes back.
