Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 in India, expanding its tablet lineup alongside the already-available Moto Pad 70 Pro and Moto Pad 70 Groove. The new model ships with the Moto Pen bundled in the box as standard.

Display and Design

The Moto Pad 70 features a 12.1-inch 2.5K (2560×1600) IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 800 nits peak brightness (600 nits typical) and 96% DCI-P3 colour coverage. The 5G variant measures 6.49mm thick and weighs roughly 530g. The tablet comes in a Pantone Titan Sea Angel finish with a metal body and carries an IP52 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Battery and Audio

A 10,200mAh battery is paired with a 68W charger included in the box. Audio is handled by four speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support, alongside dual microphones for calls and recording.

Camera and Connectivity

The Moto Pad 70 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Connectivity options include 5G (Sub-6GHz), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.2, along with a USB-C port, a card slot and a 3-point pogo pin connector for the optional keyboard accessory. Motorola’s Smart Connect feature allows the tablet to sync with compatible Motorola smartphones, tablets and PCs.

Performance and Software

Power comes from a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 octa-core chipset (2x Cortex-A76 @2.5GHz + 6x Cortex-A55 @2.0GHz) paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It’s available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations, with storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD. The tablet runs Android 16 out of the box, with OS upgrades available and three years of security patches.

Pen and Keyboard

The bundled Moto Pen supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, tilt detection and palm rejection, and comes with an AI Rewrite feature for refining handwritten or typed notes. A keyboard is available as an add-on in one of the two configurations.

Price and Availability

The Moto Pad 70 is priced at ₹33,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and ₹36,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant, in the Pantone Titan Sea Angel colourway. It goes on sale starting August 15 via Flipkart, Motorola’s own website, and select retail stores across India.
