'Not A Full-Time Employee': Kevin Pietersen Clears The Air On England Role. Photo: PTI
\n\nKevin Pietersen has confirmed that he will not be available for the England cricket team for every series, saying that he has joined the side as a consultant. The England great was roped in by the England cricket board (ECB) to help the coaching setup led by head coach Brendon McCullum as the team step up preparations for the next year's ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
\n\nPietersen also confirmed that he will join the team in Australia for the three-match ODI series. Following the Australia tour, England will also play an away series against South Africa before hosting Pakistan and New Zealand ahead of the World Cup. Pietersen might pick and choose which series he wants to be part of.
\n\n"Just need to clear something up once and for all. I am a consultant to the England Cricket Team. I am not a full-time employee. So I WILL NOT be with the white-ball team all the time and for EVERY game they play over the next 12 months. Excited to travel to Aus for a few weeks to be with the team…
