OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a tailored ChatGPT Work experience designed to help financial institutions develop research, financial models and customised client materials.
\n\nThe product combines built-in financial data with the reasoning capabilities of GPT-6 Astra that allows teams to work with financial information and analysis within ChatGPT.
\n\nThe newly-launched service uses premium data from providers such as Daloopa, PitchBook, LSEG News and Crunchbase, indexed and hosted by OpenAI, to improve accuracy and enable features such as granular citations. These citations allow bankers to trace figures and claims back to their sources and verify the evidence underlying their analysis.
\n\nThe product also gives firms centralised controls over access and data connections, backed by ChatGPT’s enterprise security and governance features, the company said.
\n\nTo design the product, OpenAI partnered with Morgan Stanley and Evercore, which helped identify key challenges financial institutions face and inform the product’s development.
\n\nMeanwhile, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is looking to slow down developing cutting-edge AI, Bloomberg reported, citing sources within the company.
