Shares of Balrampur Chini are down 4% after their June quarter results.

EBITDA for the quarter fell 15% from last year, margins declined by 173 basis points.

Net profit fell 15% from the year-ago period as well.

Sugar realizations improved, but higher cane costs and weak sugar volumes hurt sugar profitability, while distillery revenue grew strongly but margins remained under pressure due to stagnant ethanol pricing.

Shares of Finolex Cables are extending their gains on Wednesday, having gained over 10% on Tuesday in response to its June quarter results.

The company’s revenue for the quarter grew by 44% year-on-year to ₹2,013.2 crore, while its Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter increased by 79% to ₹244.2 crore.

EBITDA margin for the quarter expanded to 12.1% from 9.77% earlier, while profitability increased by 53%.

Bata shares have jumped over 7% on Wednesday in response to its June quarter results.
