The building collapse near Satya Niketan in South-West Delhi has triggered a political row, with opposition leaders and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) questioning the state of infrastructure and the administration’s response as several students are feared trapped under the debris. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reacted to the Satya Niketan building collapse in Delhi, calling the incident “extremely heartbreaking and alarming”. In a post on X, Gandhi said several people, including Delhi University students, were reportedly trapped under the debris. He appealed to the NDRF, Delhi Fire Service and other rescue teams to make every possible effort to reach those trapped and ensure that the injured receive immediate medical treatment.
\n\nGandhi also said Congress and NSUI workers were present at the scene and ready to provide all possible assistance to the victims and their families. He expressed solidarity with those affected by the incident, saying that students’ lives were already filled with struggles and that the situation had now become life-threatening.
