\n\nUS Ambassador to India Sergio Gor has called for deeper economic engagement between India and the United States, highlighting greater market access, investment and manufacturing cooperation as key areas for strengthening bilateral commercial ties. Gor said discussions with leading US MedTech companies had focused on identifying opportunities to expand their presence in India.
\n\nHe added that increased access to the Indian market and higher US exports could contribute to stronger commercial relations while also broadening cooperation in healthcare and medical technology.
\n\n"Productive discussion with leading US MedTech companies on unlocking greater opportunities in India. Expanding market access and increasing US exports will strengthen our commercial ties and deepen US-India cooperation in health and medical technology," Gor said.
\n\nThe ambassador’s comments come as both countries continue efforts to deepen economic engagement and encourage businesses from either side to expand their operations across borders.
\n\nPreviously, on Wednesday, Gor described India-US relations as being at a "historic high-point", while underlining the need to develop a trade relationship that benefits businesses in both countries. He said the two sides are working towards building a trade partnership that is "fair, reciprocal and mutually beneficial".
