\n\nUS President Donald Trump on Sunday ruled out a US strike on Iran for the day, saying Washington would not launch an attack as he departed the White House for Michigan.
\n\nAsked whether US strikes could resume as soon as Sunday, Trump responded, "Would I tell you that?" He then made his position clear, saying, "The answer is no, there will not be a strike today."
\n\nTrump's remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with the possibility of renewed US military action remaining a key concern. His statement rules out a strike on Sunday but does not clarify whether military action could resume in the coming days.
\n\nEarlier on Saturday, Trump said the US could launch fresh strikes against Iran as soon as "tomorrow" or reach an agreement with Tehran, insisting that any deal must permanently prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.
\n\n"There's a possibility I will. There's also a possibility we'll have a nice big beautiful agreement," Trump told reporters on Saturday when asked whether he would attack Iran. "Do you really think I'm going to tell you if I'm going to do it?" he added.
