Two restaurants from India have made it to The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2026. The rankings were announced at an awards ceremony in Lima, Peru, on November 4.

This is the first time since 2007 that a restaurant based in India has made it to the main top 50. The last one to do so was Bukhara at ITC Maurya in New Delhi, which first entered the list in 2004 and was named Best Restaurant in Asia. Since then, several Indian restaurants have won praise abroad, but none based in the country had broken into the global top 50. New Delhi's Indian Accent and Masque had only featured on the extended rankings. Having two homegrown restaurants on the list in the same year is a big moment for India’s restaurant industry.

The restaurant has won several awards before this one. It won the American Express One To Watch Award in 2020 and entered Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2021, where it has been a regular since. In 2025, it was placed at No. 68 on the extended 51–100 list. This year, it has climbed 42 places to break into the top 50.
