\n\nA man has died after being attacked by a tiger after entering its enclosure at a zoo in South Yorkshire, police have said. Yorkshire Wildlife Park, near Doncaster, was evacuated following the incident on Saturday afternoon and will remain closed on Sunday.
\n\nSouth Yorkshire Police said they received reports at 13:35 local time of a man entering the enclosure. "The attack resulted in serious injury," the force said in a statement.
\n\n"Emergency services attended and sadly, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene," it added.
\n\nPolice said the man's family had been informed and was being supported by specialist officers.
\n\nThe force also sought to reassure the public about the tiger, saying the animal was uninjured and had remained inside the enclosure. It said there was no wider risk to the public.
\n\nPolice urged people not to share videos of the incident circulating online, describing the footage as distressing.
