A man has been arrested after an armed incident involving Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton at the Canfield Fair on Sunday. Patrick Havas was arrested after entering a Mahoning County Democratic Party tent where Dr Acton was visiting as part of her campaign, according to local reports.
\n\nOfficials said Havas was carrying two guns and pushed through the crowd towards the front of the tent. Two people were knocked over during the incident, according to WFMJ. Dr Acton was not injured and Havas was taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
\n\nMahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene told WFMJ that Havas is expected to face two assault charges and one count of disorderly conduct.
\n\nThe incident took place at the annual Canfield Fair in Mahoning County, near Youngstown. According to reports, Havas entered the Democratic Party tent and moved through the crowd towards Dr Acton. Her security team and Canfield Fair police intervened before he reached her.
\n\nTwo older adults were reportedly knocked over as Havas pushed forward. Dr Acton's husband, Eric, was also present and was not injured.
