\n\nDeep Dasgupta has opined that the Indian management has to give Yashasvi Jaiswal game time before the 2027 ODI World Cup. Speaking on his YouTube channel, the former India wicketkeeper-batter opined that the game time will keep him ready for the World Cup, if the team needs his services. Jaiswal hasn't played an ODI since June. "You also have to give him (Jaiswal) game time. If Shubman bats at No. 3 and all three of them play, I don't know how they will manage it, but you have to give Yashasvi some game time before the World Cup so that he is ready if required," Dasgupta said on his YouTube channel.
\n\n"You cannot suddenly realise one month before the World Cup that Yashasvi needs to play. You have to keep him ready as well. This is a conversation that both of us agree on," he added.
\n\nJaiswal has only played six ODIs since his debut in February 2025. He was part of the 2025 Champions Trophy team but was replaced by Varun Chakaravarthy.
