Delhi Schoolgirl Dies While Going To School After DTC Bus Hits Scooter In New Ashok Nagar

A 12-year-old girl, Kayna Pal, died after a DTC bus allegedly hit the scooter she was travelling on with her younger brother near New Ashok Nagar in Delhi.

A 12-year-old girl died after a DTC bus allegedly hit the scooter she was travelling on with her younger brother near the New Ashok Nagar police station area in Delhi.

The victim has been identified as Kayna Pal. According to her father, Aman Pal, Kayna was on her way to school with her younger brother when the accident took place.

Speaking about the incident, Aman Pal told ANI that Kayna was a student of East Point School. The family said the girl was travelling with her younger brother when their scooter was hit by the DTC bus.

Following the collision, Kayna sustained critical injuries and was declared dead.

Mob Damages DTC Bus

Visuals from the spot showed the DTC bus badly damaged after an angry mob gathered following the incident. Police personnel reached the area and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The exact sequence of events leading to the collision is being ascertained. Police are also examining available footage and other evidence as part of the probe.
