A blatant and rather shameless lack of ‘civic sense’ was yet again questioned among Indians, after an “embarrassing” video came forward from Delhi. The clip showed a crowd of visitors casually sitting near and playing around, and even in a water fountain at the India Gate. A few people were also seen sitting on the signboard asking visitors not to enter the water: “Do not enter the water.” The video immediately went viral, pulling many reactions, mostly criticising the crowd’s public behaviour.

Many also called for stricter actions against such rule violations, while others tagged the authorities, demanding punishment and even increased fines.

“I know someone will say ‘what’s wrong, they aren’t harming anyone’. But this behaviour over the years has literally turned the India Gate area into a hub of ch*pris, cringe reels and TikTokiya content,” the post read.

Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.

This is not the first time that such a video has come forward from India, with the crowd disregarding civic sense in public. In a separate incident from Andhra Pradesh, the Visakhapatnam crowd was seen entering the water fountain and stealing trees and plants from the Alluri Sitarama Raju (ASR) International Airport– during its inaugural ceremony.

The video was shared on X (Formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘iNikhilsaini’. The post was shared today, and over 93K views from people.

Internet’s reactions:

“I saw a ch**pri Reelio danced in front of the Red Fort recently,” a user said. “Indians will never learn the Civic sense!” commented the next person. “Not just the area around India Gate, but literally the entire India,” added another person. “I don’t blame them. It is too hot in India. There are hardly any public pools in India. Please make public pools a thing in the country,” added another.
