Suriya’s Vishwanath And Sons has delivered an impressive opening weekend at the box office, crossing a major worldwide milestone within its first three days. Directed by Venky Atluri, the family entertainer remained steady on Sunday despite a dip in its India net collection compared with Saturday. The film has also performed well across its Tamil and Telugu versions, with both recording good audience occupancy. Its overseas performance has further helped the worldwide total, helping the film emerge as another successful release for Suriya in 2026. The film has now entered an impressive milestone faster than his previous release, Karuppu.

According to Sacnilk, Vishwanath And Sons earned Rs 20.55 crore net in India on Day 3. This marked a 7.6 percent decline from the Rs 22.25 crore collected on Saturday. The film recorded its Sunday figures across 4,876 shows. Following its opening-day collection of Rs 15.35 crore and Saturday’s Rs 22.25 crore, the film’s three-day India net collection has reached Rs 58.15 crore. Its India gross stands at Rs 67.22 crore, while overseas markets have contributed Rs 43 crore. The worldwide gross has consequently reached Rs 110.22 crore after three days.

Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 9.50 crore to the Day 3 India gross, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added another Rs 9.50 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 2.90 crore, Kerala Rs 1.50 crore and the remaining Indian markets Rs 35 lakh. The Tamil version recorded 57.58 percent overall occupancy on Sunday. Morning shows registered 38.15 percent, followed by 65.77 percent in the afternoon, 64.69 percent in the evening and 56.31 percent at night.

The Telugu version performed even better, registering 72.86 percent overall occupancy. Its morning shows recorded 56.67 percent, while afternoon, evening and night shows registered 79.58 percent, 67.75 percent and 66.92 percent, respectively.

Suriya Scores Another 100-Crore Grosser In 2026

The film’s production banner, Sithara Entertainments, announced on Sunday that Vishwanath And Sons had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide within two days of its release, calling it a “BlockbusterVAS” and thanking audiences for their support.

The victory gives Suriya his second consecutive Rs 100 crore grosser of 2026. Earlier this year, Karuppu, starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji, crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide. Vishwanath And Sons has also surpassed Karuppu’s opening collection record. While Karuppu entered the Rs 100 crore club within three days, Vishwanath And Sons achieved the milestone a day earlier, making it the fastest Suriya-starrer to reach the coveted mark.
