Ajay Bijli, founder of PVR and managing director of PVR INOX, has made his debut as an independent music artist with a three-song EP titled “On Another Note…”.

Released on August 18 and distributed by Warner Music India, the EP features Bijli’s vocals, music composed by Amit Trivedi and lyrics written by Shellee.

The three songs – Rab Rakhda, Shukriya and Dil Kare Haye Haye are built around three simple emotions: hope, gratitude and celebration.

Rab Rakhda focuses on hope and faith, Shukriya is about gratitude, while Dil Kare Haye Haye celebrates joy and spontaneity, according to a statement from the Bijli.

“Music has been a deeply personal part of Ajay Bijli’s life for decades. ‘On Another Note…’ is the first time he brings that passion to audiences – an honest, instinctive body of work created without chasing trends, but with a simple belief in the power of music to evoke emotion and bring people together,” the statement added.

“Music has always given me much-needed respite from my daily life – a deep sense of peace and joy,” Bijli said. He added that he wanted the EP to be ‘honest and heartfelt’ and hoped listeners would see a reflection of their own lives and emotions in the songs.

Amit Trivedi said working with Bijli on the project was a special experience and praised his passion for music. He said the songs were created without worrying about what was trending, with each track carrying a different emotion.

“Each song carries a different emotion, but together they tell a very human story. I hope this music connects with listeners in the same honest way in which it was created,” said Trivedi.

“On Another Note… marks the culmination of this longstanding connection with music, introducing him as an independent music artist and opening a new chapter in his creative journey,” the statement read.
