India’s ‘retro star’ and a Mollywood heavyweight, actor Dulquer Salmaan’s boyish charm and gravitas-first on-screen aura has ensured a thriving, cross-cultural fanbase. When on set, he effortlessly moves between urban romances, period dramas – this is a particular favourite with the actor – crime thrillers and nostalgia-dunked plots. When not in front of the camera, he’s busy hand-picking scripts for hos own production house. And when he finally gets the day off from his endless cinema-bound hats, he heads home to his beautiful and luxurious house on the lake in Kochi. It’s where he and wife Amal Sufiya raise their daughter Maryam Ameerah Salmaan. Incidentally, their forever home has been designed by Amal herself, making every corner feel even more deeply personal. Right off the bat, there is a heavy emphasis on glass details and French windows in Dulquer Salmaan’s home. The property features floor to ceiling glass sliding windows ensuring there is an ample flow of sunlight and air during the daytime hours. Speaking of sunlight, the roof of the property is stacked with solar-panels, the bordering details of the house making use of an open-plan layout. Right in line with the homes vision to incorporate eco-consciousness into its blueprint, there are winding terrace gardens stacked with flora and foliage, adding a staunchly feminine touch to the home – courtesy of course, of Amal.

As far as the colour palette inside the home goes, the vibe is fully minimalist, albeit dotted with green. Calming neutral tones stand complimented with the blue sofas and an ample indulgence in contemporary artwork. The kitchen is lined with a heavy hand of marble, complimenting the succulents lining the windows of the sun-lit space. Finally, there’s DQ’s garage to hold his collection of luxury cars across Porsche, a Land Cruiser and a Mini Cooper – each of course, featuring his lucky number, ‘369’.

DQ and his family have been living in this blissful Kochi property in Kadavanthra, since 2020. Prior to that, they lived with his father Mammootty, at the family’s Panampilly Nagar property on KC Joseph Road, also located in Kochi.

Besides the family’s forever home in Kochi, the actor also has a property located in Chennai’s Greenways Road. This address, as per reports, primarily serves as an office space for his production banner, Wayfarer Films. Finally, like every big star worth their salt, he is also believed to own a vacation getaway abroad – a high rise luxury penthouse to be specific, details of which have largely been kept private. But between Kochi, Chennai and Dubai, DQ sure is spoilt for choice when it comes to making the most of his down time!
