The UAE’s Foreign Ministry announced it was suspending all trade, commercial exchange and financial transactions with Iran until further notice, after accusing Tehran of launching two ballistic missiles at maritime traffic.

US-Iran War Live Updates: President Trump said no talks are taking place or scheduled with Iran, while maintaining the US naval blockade remains in full force and that mines in the Strait of Hormuz have been cleared. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Washington is now “begging” to negotiate on Tehran’s terms after failing to force Iran’s surrender.

The UAE’s Defence Ministry said Iran launched two ballistic missiles at maritime traffic, one landing in UAE territorial waters and the other falling into the sea outside them. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei rejected the accusation as “baseless,” saying such claims harm neighbourly relations and undermine regional trust. The UAE’s Foreign Ministry announced it was suspending all trade, commercial exchange and financial transactions with Iran until further notice.

Brent crude rose 59 cents, or 0.7%, to $91.46 a barrel as of 16:31 GMT which is its first rise in three weeks, while WTI gained 75 cents, or 0.9%, to $85.25. Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari said international mediators are awaiting an expected Iran-Oman transit agreement on the strait before pushing Washington and Tehran to resume peace talks.

Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the strait would stay closed until the US meets the interim deal’s conditions, including lifting the naval blockade and sanctions and releasing frozen Iranian assets.

UAE’s Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afra Al Hameli said in an official statement on X that all trade, commercial exchanges, and financial transactions with Iran have been halted until further notice after Iran after the UAE said that two ballistic missiles were fired toward the country from Iran.
Both missiles fell into the sea, with one of them dropping within the UAE’s territorial waters and the other outside, the country’s Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
