Firefighters are tackling a fire at a commercial building in Grand Prairie, Texas, after an explosion was reportedly heard before smoke was seen. The Grand Prairie Fire Department said the fire was at a building in the 1200 block of Avenue J East. Several vehicles were reported to be burning.
Heavy black smoke could be seen from a distance, with reports of the fire being visible as far away as State Highway 121 and Glade Road.
DFW Scanner reported that the fire may have involved a business off Avenue J.
People on social media also reported seeing a large fire in the area of Arlington, including near Six Flags.
The cause of the reported explosion and the extent of any damage or injuries have not yet been confirmed.
