\n\nGold Rate Today (September 4, 2026): Gold prices fall even as investors continue to track global cues and the spotlight remains on US payrolls data and the Fed's next interest rate decision. Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange declined over 0.5 percent and opened at Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams. According to goodreturns.in, today's gold price in India stands at Rs 15,666 per gram for 24 karat gold (99.9% purity), Rs 14,360 per gram for 22 karat gold (91.6% purity), and Rs 11,749 per gram for 18 karat gold (75% purity). In the previous session, gold rates broke out of a six-session losing streak and staged a sharp recovery of Rs 3,400 to Rs 1.59 lakh per 10 grams in the national capital on Thursday. Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst – Commodities at HDFC Securities told PTI the rebound highlighted gold's sensitivity to shifts in US monetary policy expectations.
