Heavy Rain Lashes Parts of Delhi, Noida
\n\nNew Delhi: Heavy rain lashed several parts of Delhi on Saturday morning, bringing down temperatures and causing waterlogging in some areas, disrupting traffic movement across the national capital.
\n\nVisuals from Connaught Place, Parliament Street, Patiala House Court, Minto Road and Mandi House Roundabout showed rain lashing the city during the morning hours. Waterlogging was also reported on the main road in Tughlakabad village, affecting traffic movement in the area.
\n\nThe morning showers brought Delhi's minimum temperature down to 24.8 degrees Celsius, 3.4 degrees lower than the previous day.
\n\nThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow-to-orange alert for the day and forecast light to moderate rainfall across the national capital.
\n\nAccording to IMD data, the Safdarjung weather station recorded 0.7 mm of rainfall between 11.30 pm on Friday and 5.30 am on Saturday. It recorded another 1.3 mm of rain in the three hours till 8.30 am.
\n\nPalam recorded a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, 3.5 degrees lower than the previous day, while Lodhi Road recorded 24.7 degrees Celsius. Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, down by three degrees from the previous day.
