\n\nIndia's historic football friendly match against Panama, scheduled to take place at Bengaluru's Kanteevera Stadium, has been rescheduled. Originally supposed to take place on Saturday (September 26), the game will now take place 24 hours earlier on Friday (September 25).
\n\n"The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that the men's international friendly between India and Panama, scheduled to be played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, will now take place on September 25, 2026, instead of the previously announced date of September 26. The fixture remains part of the FIFA Men's International Match Window, with the Blue Tigers set to face 44th-ranked Panama, who featured at the FIFA World Cup 2026," said a statement by the Indian football governing body.
\n\nIt is believed that the Bengaluru Marathon scheduled to take place on Sunday (September 27) is the reason behind the change. The Kanteerava Stadium serves as the start and end point, and hence the logistical difficulties in organisation a high-profile football match just hours before.
\n\nThe AIFF has also announced that tickets for the match will go on sale on the District App next week.
