The top spot belongs to LA Indian Cuisine, a small counter-service restaurant next to a truck stop off Interstate 5 in Castaic, about 40 miles north of downtown Los Angeles. On October 29, Yelp released its first-ever list of the 100 best Indian restaurants in the United States. LA Indian Cuisine came in at number one, ahead of well-known names from New York City to San Francisco.

That location shapes everything about it! Drivers pull in for fuel and a break, and many leave with a box of curry.
