The French National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the investigation, with a possible racist motive among the aspects being examined.
\n\nThe shooting took place on Friday morning, October 23, when the suspect allegedly opened fire from a vehicle on people in the streets between Trappes and La Verrière. The deceased victim was a 26-year-old man, while the four injured victims included a 20-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl.
\n\nKevin T., 39, was born in Saint-Cyr-l'École in the Yvelines department and lives in Plaisir, a town bordering Trappes. According to reports, he was apprehended by an anti-crime squad in the parking lot of a Kiloutou store in a commercial area in Coignieres.
